The way of Wanting

“You can’t get what you want, ’til you know what you want” – Joe Jackson

I spent quite a bit of time yesterday writing about being happy, and how no thing or person can make you be happy if you’ve forgotten you want to be happy. God, it was a long-winded, preachy pile of crap… Not untrue, but you know what? If you haven’t already come across that particular sermon at least two hundred and twenty seven times by now, just in blogs, you must be about twelve years old. So I’m chucking it. Writing it was a cathartic experience and it made me feel good. Throwing all that work away does not make me happy, but I want to be happy, and so I am.

Remember to want to be happy. The rest is almost automatic.

TIA
